An ad for mature audiences…

This commercial is busy making rounds on the Indian Television these days and I am sure most of you guys would have seen it.

At first first I was really taken over with the concept of this ad.
No, No it’s not SRK that made such an impact!

The ad shows that two parents going to an orphanage to adopt a baby girl and they return back home with her. Things aren’t happening they way they intend to be and they just give this girl her space. This girl turns on TV and watches cartoon and they all sit together happily in the living room.

Wow! what a thought?

Since when was the last time we have seen any ad that actually looks at life (Here I’d say talk to Audiences) maturely!

I would vouch for this ad and say that for once someone has come out in the open and tackled this issue boldly without much Ado or proclamation! Of course, the objective of the brand is well integrated into the overall theme of the ad and that’s what makes this ad more interesting!

I am not saying that this ad will fetch awards etc… But when I ponder over this commercial I feel that all areas of the people involved and concerned are solved and everyone is happy in the end. The client’s marketing team, the agency’s creative team, the TVC producer and director, The actors themselves…

Wow! Isn’t that amazing?

I would compliment the team who worked on the script and executions to come out with such a fine execution of one of the most underrated and sensitive subject… ADOPTION!

And finally understanding that the market is opening up. People’s views, perceptions are changing and changing for good. This ad in it’s totality tells us that our market is maturing and that people are becoming more positive and broad minded!

It’s time that we all come out in the open and discuss, view and react positively to these kind of issues so that we could better our lives and of others for a better tomorrow!

Watch the ad…
